Until the late nineteenth century, Villa Cicolina was the country residence of a noble family from Montepulciano. Its construction dates to the late sixteenth century, as evidenced by the wooden capitals and several travertine door jambs.
In 2000 it was purchased by Angela and Andrea, two physicians with a passion for travel, who set out to transform it into a small relais inspired by African lodges, where natural elements and living comfort merge in perfect harmony. The restoration was conceived with a philosophy of total conservation — both of the furnishings and the materials used — so that guests might feel that within the walls of Villa Cicolina the spirit of the centuries endures intact.
